Lieutenant Rami (Avraham) Zusman

Lieutenant Rami (Avraham) Zusman

Rami was born and raised in Hadera. He was drafted to the Golani brigade in which he became a commander to new recruits. As the Yom Kippur War began, Rami and his recruits were sent to the rear for portage and service jobs, but a after a couple of days Rami left them and rushed to the Golan Heights’ front to fight with his friends from the brigade. A few months after the end of the war, Rami died after getting hit by a Syrian bomb while he served his company’s commander.

These song lyrics were written by Rami Zusman and later arranged into music by David Lavi after Zusman’s death.

Person Knows/ David Lavi

Person knows when his end is close. Know.
And has a desire to shout so the whole world will know
And has a desire to wilt softly
In dark silence
At list existed

Death does not come to me suddenly and not as a common person
I knew that the battle in near only sometimes
When I was alone
I’ll go, I’ll be one of them or both.
Stand waiting, in the crowd, a lot of people.
Only the first step will be followed by a jab of pain.
My death does not come to me suddenly and not as a common person
Goodbye World ,
I found better than you.
Quiet here, here you meet friends.
Here you are present with no life and feelings.
Sorry everyone. Thank you and goodbye.

Death does not come to me suddenly
I knew that the battle was near
With hat in hand. Peace.
