From fitness to first-time work experience and volunteering, the Bender JCC offers something for all teens.

Teen Membership

The Bender JCC offers a specially priced teen membership for high-school aged teens. Teen members of the Bender JCC enjoy:

  • Use of the Weinberg Health & Fitness Center.
  • Access to indoor and outdoor pools
  • Full-size basketball courts
  • 50+ group exercise classes and much more.

*Members age 13 to 15 must complete a fitness orientation session with a Bender JCC trainer before using fitness facilities.

JCC Maccabi Games

Teens that love team sports love the JCC Maccabi games. Created to promote community service, sportsmanship, and religious pride, the JCC Maccabi Games are a week-long Olympic-style event for young athletes aged 13-16. Held in different locations throughout the United States and Canada every summer, the games generate enthusiasm and excitement for everyone involved.

Teens are invited to join Team Greater Washington to represent our community at the national JCC Maccabi Games and Mid-Atlantic Junior Games. Get more information.

First-Time Work Experience

Teens gain valuable work experience through Camp JCC’s CIT (Counselor In Training) and after school programs. Accumulate Montgomery County Public Schools Student Service Learning (SSL) hours through Camp JCC’s Mitzvah Corp travel camp.

 

Youth Groups: Partner Programs

BBYO

BBYO cultivates and encourages Jewish leadership among teenagers, teaching them responsibility, discipline, tzedakah and Jewish values.  Teens can join BBYO in January of their 8th grade year.  We also offer a middle school program for 6th-7th grade students.
