Encouraging active minds, active bodies, and community engagement, the Bender JCC leads the way in Montgomery County for those that want to live life to the fullest. The Bender JCC depends on the time and dedication of its enthusiastic volunteers. Each year, over 500 members donate their time and expertise in every facet of the Center. Volunteering not only enables participants to give something back to their community, but it provides opportunities to meet new people, share talents, and have fun. Games & Clubs

Are you an amateur poker player who wants to take your game to the next level? Learn crucial strategies to maximize your chances to go far in tournaments. The goal is to increase the level of play and upgrade skills. Some basics will be reviewed.

From singers on stage to singers in the shower, all senior singers are welcome at the Bender JCC senior adult chorus. Led by Frieda, the chorus sings a varied repertoire of Yiddish, Hebrew, and Latino tunes, as well as some Russian and American song favorites! If you love to sing, you’re welcome to join!

Chorus meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 1:00 – 2:30 PM.

Song Circle meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 1:00 – 2:30 PM, followed by refreshments.

Song sheets are provided and we sing mainly American folk songs.

The Jewish Chorus meets on all the other Tuesdays from 1:00 – 2:30 PM.

History lovers unite every fourth Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Bender JCC in a club devoted to all things historical. All history buffs welcome!

This course is for players who need a refresher.  It will cover the fundamentals of modern bidding, play of the hand and some defensive principles.
