There are many paths to and through our campus and community, whether it’s appreciating the arts and culture in the Kreeger Auditorium – our state-of-the-art performing arts venue with seating for 250+, diving into personal wellness in our 40,000-sf fitness center or indoor and outdoor pools – both heated and open year-round, reaching new heights on our climbing tower, learning a new hobby or skill in our many classrooms and studios, making lifelong memories at our fun youth programs, or socializing at our signature community events Whether you’re looking to stay fit, learn something new, or connect with your community, there’s something here for you.

Arts and Culture Facilities
Our campus is a hub for creativity, featuring amenities and facilities to host breathtaking art exhibits, world-class concerts and performances, and abundant classroom and studio space for members to bring their artistic visions to life.
The Goldman Gallery is an intimately sized venue that hosts rotating art-exhibits and provides a beautiful setting for small-scale events, with seating for up to 100 guests and direct access to our catering kitchen and outdoor patio space.

An exceptional performing-arts venue with seating for 290 and featuring superb acoustics with a full array of LED theatrical lighting, state-of-the-art sound and video projection systems, plus backstage dressing rooms.

Whether you’re taking an art class or working on your next masterpiece, the Bender JCC will help bring your artistic vision to life in our dedicated studio spaces for ceramics, music, painting, sculpting, wood-working, and more!

Classrooms and Learning Facilities
Beyond our ample, spacious, and well-lit classrooms, Bender ECC students and families enjoy two playgrounds, a growing garden, and an abundance of grassy areas.

A nurturing and hands-on gathering space for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to bond with their little ones.

The Kass Judaic Library features a collection of new and classic Jewish literature, Jewish magazines and newspapers, and secular literature. These are available to both members and guests.

Gathering Spaces
The Bender JCC’s classes, events, and programs are gateways to your community. But sometimes you just need room to exhale. Our informal gathering spaces give you the space to connect or reconnect.
The Garden of Eatin’ – our recently redecorated and updated self-service café – is the perfect spot to grab a quick bite, schmooze over coffee, catch up on work emails, or play a board game with friends.
Designed in 2008 by Philip Ratner — an internationally renowned local artist — and donated by Alexander and Ruth Adler (both of blessed memory), the Bender JCC’s Jewish American Veterans Memorial honors the brave Jewish men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who served valiantly in defense of our nation, and serves as a gathering space for Jewish War Veterans Post #692 and our entire community.
The Bender JCC’s Social Hall is an elegant, multipurpose event space offering customizable seating arrangements for up to 200 people, direct access to our catering kitchen, and use of our outdoor patio space.

The Bender JCC is located at 6125 Montrose Road, Rockville MD, on the Charles E. Smith Community Service Campus. The Bender JCC is accessible from both the Twinbrook and White Flint Metro stops, and offers free on-site parking.
