Will you consider driving others who  cannot drive themselves?

The Bender JCC is proud to partner with VillageRides to provide free rides to our seniors.

VillageRides, a program of the Jewish Council for the Aging, is funded by the Transportation Planning Board of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. The program serves people of all faiths, ethnicities of walks of life. For more information about the JCA program, visit AccessJCA.org

HELP OUR SENIORS AGE IN PLACE

As a volunteer, you will choose your schedule, route, and passengers.
Hours of operation: 9 AM – 5 PM | Monday-Friday
Typical trips up to 30 minutes each way.

Steps to becoming a volunteer:

  • Background Screening*
  • Have a valid driver’s license & proof of auto insurance
  • Web-based scheduling software training*
  • Volunteer Driver Orientation*
    *provided by J Rides program

Take our seniors to and from programs at:

  • Bender JCC
  • Ring House
  • Leisure World
  • Local synagogues
  • Local restaurants
