To Life: Interconnections Through Art

To Life: Interconnections Through Art

Starts March 24, 2024 - Ends April 14, 2024

We have all heard the phrase “To Life, to life, L’Chaim” and try to share in the wonders that Tevye famously expressed in Fiddler On The Roof. The Goldman Gallery’s exhibit “To Life: Interconnections Through Art” features the paintings of two local women, Julie Murray and Missy Shor. Their art poetically explores the past, present and future – the relationship between people, their families, nature and tradition. This special exhibit takes you on a journey of life’s most cherished moments. Snapshots of time which include Jewish tradition, beloved pets, sports, travel and the curiosity of each and every day. Some of their most moving pieces focus on Israel, promoting peace, love and a yearning for the return to normal. With oil paints, Julie brings a unique ability to move between realistic and abstract art as a way to capture the sentiment of the moment. Missy uses acrylic paints in a realistic and often playful tone to infuse emotion, especially when expressing the love of her furry friends. Together, they bring you the story of life.
