During his three years at  Woodrow  Wilson  High  School in Washington DC, Robert “Ike” Isaacson was a nine varsity letterman – three each in football, basketball and baseball – Isaacson  was  a  nine  varsity  letterman and recepient of the  “Athlete of the Year” honor. In baseball, Ike was a member of three Western Interhigh Championships and one city championship team, and was the only sophomore to start in a city championship game. He received a baseball scholarship to the University of Maryland where he was a three-year starter and a member of the university’s first ACC Baseball Championship team. Ike  was  a  three-time  member of the Interfraternity Allstar football team, and he held the 100-yard dash record for several years.
