Edward “Eddie” Rosenblum
Eddie Rosenblum is honored for his legendary support for young people in sports. Before World War I, Rosenblum was a co-founder and president of the Washington DC YMHA. After years of outstanding post-World War I relief work, Rosenblum helped organize the DC Association of the AAU. He served as Director of the JCC in Washington from 1938-1958, simultaneously chairing the Athletic Committee and organizing several JCC teams which competed in District and National AAU championships. A co-founder of the Washington Inter-Faith Sports Committee, Rosenblum was inducted into the International Churchman’s Sports Hall of Fame. He also was a member of the National AAU Boxing Committee, and since 1932 was a member of the US Olympic Committee.
