Coping Effectively with Cognitive Decline in Aging Men

Wednesday, January 25 | 1:30-4:00 PM | JCC Social Hall

Join the JCC Men’s Club for a special Men’s Health Group session put together by Dr. Lou Siegel and presented by Louis Essers, Ed.D., Asst. Professor of Medicine, USUHS (Ret.), Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist, and Leanne Levin, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist, and Asst. Professor, Dept. of Medicine, New York Medical College. As men age, living with cognitive decline can be emotionally overwhelming. Thus, it is essential to be proactive in adjusting to these ongoing changes. The Drs. will explore methods for coping with cognitive decline including practical strategies to assist in managing changes in memory, time management, and problem-solving. Furthermore, the setting of realistic goals and the creation of a day planner with activities critical for one’s cognitive well-being will be discussed. Open to the Community. – Also, on Zoom.
