Krasner is recognized for her outstanding tennis achievements. She was a nationally ranked junior player in both singles and doubles, teaming with Pam Shriver to form one of the top ranked junior teams in the country. In 1979, she received a full athletic scholarship to the University of Maryland where she played #1 in both singles and doubles. In 1988 she won the National Lipton Amateur Mixed Doubles Championship, which earned her a berth in the prestigious Lipton Pro Tournament. She has won numerous Mid-Atlantic USTA tennis championships and in 1999 she won the National Grasscourt 35 and Over Doubles Championship. Known for her “soft hands” at the net, Krasner continues to be one of the best doubles players in the area.
