Join Reboot, the Bender JCC of Greater Washington, and Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School for a special evening of film, conversation, and community exploring the many ways Jewish identity is lived and expressed today.
“This Is What Jewish Looks Like” is Reboot’s national touring program with best-in-class short films and community conversations, reflecting the breadth of contemporary Jewish experiences.
Reboot is developing a film, called “Whatever It Takes,” inspired by the remarkable story of the 2017 CESJDS championship cross-country team, exploring the intersection of sports, Jewish identity, perseverance and belonging.
After the screenings, panelists will explore the role of sports as a vehicle for perseverance, achievement, teamwork, community, and the stories that emerge when these worlds intersect.
