Join geologist and J-Family Ambassador Stacey for a hands-on, family-friendly adventure at Calvert Cliffs! Discover the incredible history behind these massive formations, created over 10 million years ago when Southern Maryland was covered by a shallow sea. As the cliffs eroded, they began revealing fossils of prehistoric creatures like sharks, whales, rays, and even seabirds the size of small airplanes! This special field trip includes time to explore the beach, hunt for fossils, and enjoy the park’s many amenities, including hiking trails, marshland, and a recycled tire playground. $10 per family plus the cost of park admission.
