There is a deep chord within us that seeks to understand who we are and where we come from. Inspired by her late husband’s family, who were Holocaust survivors, Jakobsberg explores Jewish legacy, memory, identity, immigration, and survival. Drawing from family photographs, stories, journal sketches, and found objects, she creates intimate works that evoke joyful, painful, and bittersweet memories.
