The tween years mark one of life’s most significant developmental transitions. As children enter adolescence, they gain greater autonomy, peer influence becomes more powerful, and access to social media expands, fundamentally shifting the parent-child dynamic. During this time, many parents discover that familiar approaches no longer work and feel increasing pressure to stay involved while supporting their child’s growing independence. Navigating this transition successfully requires a new approach to parenting.
