Lessans Camp JCC brings together campers with and without disabilities in one unified summer experience, providing every camper the opportunity to make new friends, embrace new challenges, and build confidence throughout each unforgettable summer. At Lessans Camp JCC, campers feel safe and supported in being themselves because our community celebrates and values their individuality. Camper Application Dates (On all days, the application will open at noon.):
• November 5 – Returning 2025 campers
• November 12 – Siblings of 2025 campers and Bender ECC families
• November 19 – New campers who are Bender JCC members (full family membership)

Camp Programs For All Interests
Our summer programs are perfect for campers ages 4–21! Whether it’s art, theater, cooking, STEM, music, dance, nature, or even climbing the rock wall, campers have plenty of ways to discover what excites them.
At Lessans Camp JCC, we believe everyone deserves to experience camp life. Through our Nationally recognized Inclusion and Kochavim programs, Lessans Camp JCC makes camp accessible and meaningful for every camper, ages 4-21.
Our youngest campers experience all the fun activities that camp offers such as: special events, themed days, swimming, sports, music, climbing, arts & crafts, nature (Teva), and more.
- Adom (red): For campers entering Pre-K or Kindergarten
- Adom 4’s: Age 4 by Sept. 1, 2026

- Adom 5’s: Age 5 and entering kindergarten by Sept. 1, 2026
- Lavan (white): For campers entering 1st grade
- Kachol (blue): For campers entering 2nd grade. Kachol campers attend a field trip once per session.
Our Kesef campers experience classic camp fun plus they get to choose a Specialty Area like: coding, LEGO engineering, cooking and much more.
- Pastry Chefs (Session 1)
Pastry school meets summer camp! Campers will learn real decorating techniques, experiment with edible designs, and create their own sweet masterpieces—all while having a blast in the kitchen. - Woodworking (Session 1)
Campers will learn woodworking fundamentals—measuring, sawing, sanding, and assembling—while designing and building their own take-home projects. Each day builds creativity, precision, and confidence through hands-on work with wood and tools. - Gymnastics (Session 1)
Campers of all experience levels will build strength, flexibility, and confidence as they practice gymnastics skills on mats and beams. Each day highlights coordination, body awareness, and fun, all in a supportive, encouraging environment. - Jewish Global Kitchen (Session 2)
Campers will cook their way across the Jewish world, learning about global traditions and stories through hands-on recipes. Each day blends culture, cooking, and connection in a fun, interactive setting. - LEGO (Session 2)
We’re teaming up with Play-Well TEKnologies to provide a half-day of LEGO-filled fun, where campers will collaborate and create while learning about structural engineering, gearing, motors, and more. - Filmmaker Academy (Session 2)
Lights, camera, creativity! Campers will explore the art of filmmaking by developing stories, filming scenes, and editing their own original short films, working together like a real production crew from idea to premiere. - Culinary Science (Session 3)
Part kitchen, part lab—campers will explore the science behind food through hands-on experiments that bubble, fizz, and transform into tasty discoveries. - DJ Camp (Session 3)
Campers will explore the art of DJing through GarageBand and other software, learning to mix songs, control rhythm, and layer sounds. Each day blends hands-on tech skills with creative musical expression. - Dance (Session 3)
Get ready to groove with ACD Dance! Campers will explore different dance styles, learn choreography, and express themselves through movement. Whether they’re twirling, popping, or leaping, every camper will feel the rhythm and energy as they take center stage in this high-energy, fun-filled camp. - Traditional Camp (Sessions 1, 2, & 3)
Our traditional camp offers a variety of fun activities including sports, music, climbing wall, arts & crafts, Israel, dance, swimming and more.
In addition to classic camp activities, Zahav campers embark on three off-campus adventures per week, which may include excursions to theme and water parks, museums, and much more.
Guided by our experienced specialists, Omanut campers will learn the creative process of visual art like drawing, painting, sculpting, and designing! Omanut may include an end-of-session art show.
Habimah campers perform in our state-of-the-art theater, learning to act, design sets, improvise, dance, and sing from a faculty of experienced specialists.
Note: Program offered 4 weeks (sessions 1 & 2) and 3 weeks (session 3).
Campers enjoy two daily sports blocks, focusing on football, soccer, baseball, or basketball, and/or hockey led by passionate coaches and counselors who share their love of the game.
Campers can also look forward to exciting special events such as:

A rewarding summer of service for campers entering grades 7 – 9
Gesher campers can earn up to 20 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours, per session, by volunteering in our community, then return to Lessans Camp JCC for classic summer camp fun like the climbing wall and swimming.
High-school students can earn up to 30 SSL hours per week in Madatz, our Counselor in Training (CIT) program, while developing leadership skills through an unforgettable summer of team building, interactive workshops, and summer camp fun.

Kochavim — an award-winning inclusion program for teens and young adults with disabilities (ages 12 – 21) — invites campers of all abilities to experience the joys of summer camp by ensuring they can participate fully in all activities right alongside neurotypical campers.
Pre/Post Camp Weeks are a shorter, more relaxed version of our traditional camp sessions, open to both new and returning campers entering K-6th grade. Held the week before (Aleph) and after (Bet & Gimmel) the camp sessions that offers a fun and flexible taste of camp life without the full structure of a regular week. Activities are run by counselors instead of specialists, there’s no nurse on site, and recreational swim is offered daily. It’s a great way to ease into or wrap up the summer with friends, fresh air, and classic camp fun — all in a more casual setting.

There are four transportation options. Read below to learn more.
AM: Families will park their cars and walk their children inside.
PM: Campers can be picked up from inside the building starting at 4:00.
Express Bus: In the afternoon only, we have two buses that drive campers 5-10 minutes off campus to a drop off location.
We also have 4 bus routes. Buses leave the JCC at approximately 3:45.

AM Carpool: Camper drop-off begins at 8:45 AM on the East Jefferson side of the building.
PM Carpool: Camper pick-up begins at approximately 4:00 PM.
AM Extended Day campers may arrive any time after 7:30 AM.
PM Extended Day is offered until 6:00 PM.
*This is an add-on only available to Pre-K – Entering 6th graders and is an additional fee.

- First year at Lessans Camp JCC? Apply for your discount by following the link.
Cancellation Policy
- Upon enrollment, you will be charged the $200 non-refundable deposit per camper via your preferred payment method saved in Campminder.
- The installments will be charged on January 21, February 18, and April 22. Once any installment is charged, the maximum refund allowed is 50% of the total payments collected by Lessans Camp JCC.
- All fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable after April 22, 2026.
- Requests for changes to programs, sessions, transportation, and AM/PM extended day after enrollment will be based on availability and space and that each change after enrollment will incur a $25 administrative fee, which will be charged to your credit card or ACH account on file in Campminder.
