Starting 12/16/2025, the showers in the Adult Woman’s Locker Room will be closed for repairs. Locker rooms will remain open. The Family Locker Rooms will be open during the repairs and include showers. Work is scheduled to completed on Monday 12/29.

Jeff Halpern

Halpern, a forward for the Washington Capitals, grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland. He played youth hockey locally from 1980-91, for Montgomery Hockey Club and then the “Little Capitals.” From 1995-99, Halpern played at Princeton University, where he became team captain, was named MVP each of his last three years, and was awarded the school’s Winston Roper Trophy given annually to the outstanding senior male athlete. After graduating, Halpern became the first Washington area native to make the National Hockey League. In 1999-2000, his rookie season, he scored 20 goals and 12 assists in 84 combined regular season and playoff games.
