Tai Chi
The ancient art of Tai Chi uses gentle flowing movements to reduce the stress of a busy
lifestyle and improve balance, agility, and health. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity, connecting the mind and body.
Tai Chi’s flowing and strength building movements improve stress management while increasing flexibility, strength, memory, agility, and balance. It derives power from the cultivation of internal strength, rather than muscle power, and is both physically and mentally challenging.
Classes will focus on Yang Short Form. Students should be able to stand on one foot for several seconds at a time and plan to acquire one new move per week.
