  • Bonnie Zucker, Psy.D.

Bonnie Zucker, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist with a background and expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorders. She is the director of Bonnie Zucker & Associates in Rockville, Maryland.

Using a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, Dr. Zucker has helped hundreds of children, teens, and adults become anxiety-free by teaching them coping skills, methods for challenging their faulty thinking, and how to systematically face their fears. She is also the author of Anxiety-Free Kids, Take Control of OCD, Parenting Kids with OCD, and Something Very Sad Happened, and the co-author of Resilience Builder Program for Children and Adolescents and two relaxation CDs. A respected psychologist in the treatment of anxiety, Dr. Zucker is also active in training other mental health professionals on the treatment of anxiety disorders.

    Partner at Old Georgetown Mental Health Associates

Dr. Lisa Zucker practices General Adult Psychiatry and is a partner at Old Georgetown Mental Health Associates, a private practice located in Bethesda, MD. The scope of Dr. Zucker’s practice includes the full spectrum of mood and anxiety disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, relationship and parenting issues, and the emotional impact of medical conditions. Engaging with her patients in a therapeutic partnership, she incorporates both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology as dictated by her patients’ individual needs and circumstances.  Dr. Zucker’s particular interests include the mind-body connection, and the impact of stress, the environment and lifestyle on an individual’s mental health and wellness.

Dr. Zucker earned her medical degree in 1997 from New York University School of Medicine and completed her residency in General Adult Psychiatry at the University of Texas, where she was the Assistant Chief Resident.  Dr. Zucker is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Member of the Washington Psychiatric Society, and a past member of the Institute for Functional Medicine.
