National Parkinson Foundation’s Moving Day
June 3, 2017
Move With Us, Change the World
Join us on Saturday, June 3 in Washington, D.C. on the National Mall for Moving Day®
Taking place in cities across the United States, Moving Day is your chance to speak up about Parkinson’s disease and move others to take action. It is a movement for change — towards more awareness, more funding, and more understanding of a disease that affects so many of our family and friends.
Moving Day: More Than a Simple Fundraiser
It provides a platform for NPF to support local communities across the country through grants that provide health, wellness, support and other critically important services in their area. More than 100,000 have walked since this annual event began in 2011, raising more than $13.7 million!
Funds raised through Moving Day also support NPF’s national mission by:
- Delivering quality care to more than 50,000 Parkinson’s patients worldwide through our NPF Center of Excellence network;
- funding cutting-edge research like the Parkinson’s Outcomes Project, aimed at better treatment and care;
- providing free resources for patients and their families, such as a toll-free Helpline (1-800-4PD-INFO) and the life-saving Aware in Care hospital kits.
