This year we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Iraqi public hanging of 14 alleged spies, who were accused of spying for Israel. 9 of the victims of that act were Jews, and they are referred to and remembered as Martyrs of Iraq (הרוגי המלכות) .
Maurice Shohet, President of the World Organization of Jews from Iraq (WOJI) and a member of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, as well as a personal friend of 3 of the executed heroes, will be sharing his story and the story of heroism in unstable Iraq of after the six days war defeat.
The lecture will be given in English and is free of charge
