This exhibition explores the creative potential of Contemporary Fiber Art through the work of Latin American artists residing in the Washington, DC area.
We are pleased to offer opportunities to meet and interact with the artists:
Community Activity: Hands-on Fiber!
Sundays: March 6, 13 and 20 – 2:00-4:00 PM
Help exhibition artists decorate an old fashion mannequin. Explore fiber techniques as simple as making knots. Exhibition artists will demonstrate how to weave, wrap cords, crochet and more. Join them in the collaborative project. All material will be provided. No experience needed. All ages welcome – children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
