“Jewhooing” is a term applied to a prominent person who is of the Jewish faith, someone who elicits ethnic pride. Author David Kaufman profiles four icons, Sandy Koufax, Barbara Streisand, Bob Dylan and Lenny Bruce, who have been the subjects of “Jewhooing” since the 1960s, since their rise to fame. Kaufman will take us on an exciting journey, separating myth from fact to assess their influence on American popular culture, and on an American society that is markedly different in the 21st century from what it was six decades ago.
