Cycle for Good
December 22, 2019
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Spin a world of good for Bicycle Safety!
The Bender JCC is kicking off Chanukah by spinning some dreidels and its wheels, along with JCCs across North America, as part of Cycle for Good. The cycling program will raise funds for bicycle safety through the WABA (Washington Area Bicyclist Association), in memory of Captain Diane Centeno-Deshields, an avid cyclist and Bender JCC Member.
Two Ways To Participate:
Ride With Us
“Rent” a bike for an hour. We have a limited number of bikes available for this 3-hour event so sign up now! You can cycle for an hour, two or even all three.
Your financial contribution of any amount will go towards promoting bicycle safety through the WABA, aiding in bicycle safety and promoting fitness.
This charity ride will be directed by trained spin instructors who will lead participants in a workout set to music, and ease and increase the tension to simulate changes in terrain. In addition to a rigorous workout, Cycle for Good adds the additional component of tzedakah or doing good.
Cost: $36/hr bike rental
Sessions: 9:00 AM; 10:00 AM; 11:00 AM
