“layers upon layers of passionate energy…the collaboration (is) a match like no other” (San Francisco Classical Voice)
Formed in 1981, the Alexander String Quartet has performed in the major music capitals of five continents, securing its standing among the world’s premier ensembles. As a Van Cliburn International Piano Competition silver medalist, Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, and Grammy-award nominee, Joyce Yang showcases her colorful musical personality in solo recitals and collaborations with the world’s top orchestras and chamber musicians. Together they continue their ongoing partnership with a program of piano quintets—two romantic favorites coupled with a brand new work by Samuel Adams.
